Orthodontist in Long Beach, California(CA) - Samuel S. Berro, D.D.S.
At your complimentary first visit, you will meet with Dr. Berro and our treatment coordinator. After reviewing your medical and dental history, Dr. Berro will perform a clinical examination to determine whether or not orthodontic treatment is needed, and if so, when the would be best time to start. Dr. Berro will review your treatment options including the types of braces or appliances that may be used and in many cases will provide a computer simulation of a case similar to yours to help you visualize your treatment. We will review the estimated length of treatment and the estimated expenses involved including insurance benefits, if applicable, and answer any questions you may have.

If a patient is not yet ready for orthodontic treatment, she or he will be placed on a recall status and will be monitored for the optimum time to begin treatment.

If orthodontic treatment is needed, obtaining diagnostic records is the next step towards achieving your new smile.

Diagnostic Records
Diagnostic records include x-rays of the head, teeth, and jaws, photographs of the face and teeth, and study models. The x-rays, photographs, and study models are taken in our office. Standard x-rays are taken in our office with our new state-of-the-art, reduced radiation, digital x-ray unit.

Once all the diagnostic records are completed, Dr. Berro will review the records and formulate the best treatment plan for your case which will be presented at your second visit for the treatment consultation.
