Dr. Berro is a certified orthodontic specialist
Dr. Berro has completed a rigorous orthodontic residency after attending dental school to become a registered specialist of the American Association of Orthodontists. After his residency, he completed written, oral, and clinical examinations to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, an achievement attained by only 25% of orthodontists nationwide.

We make a conscious effort at every visit to update parents on treatment including oral hygiene, cooperation, and progress of treatment. We are committed to keeping you informed and we always make time to answer your questions.
We do not use recycled braces or bands that were used in someone else's mouth!
We feel braces are precision devices manufactured to be in one mouth only!
Treatment is completed within the estimated treatment time.
We have a very high success rate of completing treatment within the estimated treatment time when the patient has shown good cooperation. We pay close attention to the best time to initiate treatment and make sure not to start a child's treatment too early. Efficient systems are in place to help ensure that treatment is completed on schedule with the best possible result.

Colored braces and custom retainers
You can change your colors on your braces at each appointment. You can also customize your own retainer. We’ve had patients design retainers in a variety of colors and with stickers, photos, or pictures embedded in the plastic. Be creative!
We utilize multimedia presentations to enhance your understanding and visualization of your individual orthodontic needs
At your initial visit a multimedia demonstration and digital imaging will be utilized to educate you on the recommended orthodontic treatment plan as well as an aid in establishing a definitive treatment plan.
Up-to-date sterilization systems are in place
Our instruments are dry-heat and/or autoclave - sterilized between every patient. Single-use/disposable items are used when possible. Sterilization systems are tested weekly by an independent biological monitoring service.

Dr. Berro was one of the first Invisalign-certified orthodontists in Southern California. Much of the success of this treatment modality involves clinical acumen and experience.
Attention is paid to the retention and stabilization of your final result
The majority of orthodontic relapse occurs along the lower front teeth and is usually caused from poor cooperation using a lower removable retainer. As a result, we almost always recommend a permanent retainer bonded behind the lower front teeth. They are not visible and are comfortable to wear. We will discuss with each patient a definitive retention plan tailored to their individual needs as treatment comes to completion.
